About

At the intersection of neuroscience, polyvagal theory, prayer, and lived-in, experiential faith lies a path to fullness of joy – to deep healing – to a vibrant, thriving life regardless of circumstances. How do I know? Because I’ve done the work and have seen the transformation for myself. Now, it is my privilege to create space for others on the ongoing journey toward Becoming Brighter. – Tara

Tara has a background in education, extensive volunteer and paid ministry roles, and nonprofit leadership. She holds certifications in Christian life coaching and nonprofit leadership coaching and will receive international certification in spiritual direction and formational care in August of 2026.

Tara brings a unique blend of approaches to her clients based both on her education and her personal investment of thousands of hours of study and practice. She loves to work with women from all walks of life, but has a particular passion for working with women who are processing loss/grief, are in a family dedicated to full time ministry, or have children with special needs. She also has a tender heart for those who find themselves in a season of spiritual upheaval: perhaps the patterns of a faith journey that have felt familiar and solid suddenly are shifting, and it’s causing a lot of internal disruption. Some spiritual writers refer to this season as “The Dark Night of the Soul” or “The Wall.” Tara has been honored to be a safe place for women to honestly confront the complexity of their circumstances and discover God in the midst of their everyday lives. Together with the direction of the Holy Spirit, Tara supports women as they apply concrete, hope- and faith-fueled practices to move in and through each shifting season.

Originally from Chicago and Kansas City, Tara now enjoys spending time with four generations of family in North Dakota. She, her husband, daughter, mother-in-law, and two doodles all share the same home, where Tara practices coaching and spiritual direction in-person and online. Tara loves getting to spend lots of time with her grandson and his parents; volunteering in the community; watching a good who-dun-it, and reading and journaling. She’s also always up for lingering with friends over an almond-milk flat white or a great keto+paleo meal.
